Laboratory of Enterprise Software and Processes (ESP-Lab) is a research lab at Faculty of Computer Science & Engineering, HCMC University of Technology. It was founded in 2015 being led by Dr. Lam-Son Lê.
In ESP-Lab, we carry out research and perform teaching in software engineering for enterprises. We take a rather broad view on enterprise-level software engineering wherein requirements engineering, enterprise architecture and business processes are equally important as software design, code generation, testing and the likes. Software in use today, especially at enterprise levels, needs to (a) serve digitized business processes in the context of smart cities; (b) shift from distributed architecture to blockchain-enabled and IoT-based architecture; (c) harvest massive volume of data generated by smart devices and in ever-increasing number of client transactions. We do research into the following topical areas.
- novel approaches to architecturing software (e.g. blockchain-based) and generating source code (e.g., on IoT platforms)
- enterprise (re-)engineering based on data mining
- IoT data provisioning

We get engaged with our industrial partners to architect solutions, build prototypes and consult in real-life projects.
